Some reviewers don't like the fact that this hostel is "out there." It's in a ward called Taito-Ku that's one metro stop (Minowa) away from a major station (Ueno). It's easy to get to from Narita. Bakpak Tokyo is a good hostel, the nearest subway station is Minowa which is about 10 minutes walking. From there, everything is easy to reach. Arrived late due to plane trouble, took 1.5 hrs on train to get there to find the place locked up. There was a note on the door saying phone this number for entry code. I thought this place was great! But then again, all the Hostel that I booked in Japan was great. They were always cleaning up, which was great. Unfortunately I only got to stay there for one night, but I still enjoyed my short visit. more

We booked this stay through STA travel. The place was quite hard to find when you are coming from the airport. Make sure you print off the directions that they provide on the hostels web site. This is a funky little place hidden away in a suburb of Tokyo but still with great access to the City and all major attractions.
