After reading the very good reviews of this place, I have booked it, and should not have done it... On the + side : nice staff, clean, free tea/coffee + internet. On the - side : NOISY!! We might have been unlucky but the people there were not paying attention to the ones already alseep, they were shouting from one... more

Why stay in a capsule when you can a small ROOM to yourself? I had a 3 tatami room for myself, on the third floor, and it was quiet, and had a window that didn't give on an adjacent wall. At 3300yen, it was fabulous. Downstairs there's a nice area for relaxing, having breakfast etc. Only minor issue came up... more

This is a very basic hostel near the Asakusa area. It is perfect for solo travellers/backpackers as there is a comfy lounge/reception area where you can relax and meet other people staying there with free tea and coffee. They also provide tonnes of guidebooks/maps etc which you can borrow if you want to go exploring Tokyo! There are a couple... more

- You can sleep in Japanese style room (means : sleep on tiny matress, on the floor) - You don't mind walking 10 minutes each time to take the subway - You don't mind sun in your room at 6:00AM because they don't have curtains to block it - You don't mind paying for everything (use of showers = 100Yens... more

Stayed here a total of 8 days. Room was small and clean with TV and AC. Bathrooms, shower, laundry all were well maintained. Staff and fellow travelers were all nice folks. Map is good but Google Street view was very helpful in finding the place. Neighborhood not the best but felt safe. Just a few minutes walk to train station. more

Stayed there for a week; first time really traveling without family so all the decisions/planning was up to myself. Must say, I'm quite happy with my decision. Great helpful/friendly staff that speaks English. Room was a bit small but was expected in Tokyo; important thing was it was very clean. The showers were also very clean with them providing things... more

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room (double mat, traditional Japanese style) was the size of a shoebox. We had to fold our beds away just to be able to open our suitcases. The bathroom facilities are shared and there is a coin operated shower. I understand Japan is an expensive place but surely you must be able to... more

I came here after having moved rooms in another inn where the new room was mouldy, dank, old and scruffy and I decided I just couldnt stay there. What a pleasant surprise! For less money than we were paying in Asakusa, we got our own room, big window with a blind, airconditioner, small flat screen tv, mini foldaway table and two... more

We went there in 07, and are bowled over by the owners' sincere hospitality and friendliness. It is spotless, the shared toilets are cleaner than many other hotels with attached toilets. We are going back to Tokyo this year and will definitely be staying there again. Highly highly recommended. more
