Avalon hotel no read " avalon guest house" not that impressed with this 4 star AA rated property Two nights B/B £140 not good maybe for sea front accommodation but not down a side road ,not on my return list . More

“Not the best B & B!!”

Two nights accommodation booked costing £130. Advised on arrival that shower not working properly in our room and could only be activated from a power switch outside the bathroom. Breakfast basic and unappealing. Decor tired and worn. Exterior floodlights left on to shine into our first floor bedroom until 4.30am and therefore hard to sleep. Not recommended. More

I stayed at the avalon with my 3 year old daughter, elderly mother and her friend and the end of January having postponed our original plans to stay just before Christmas due to adverse weather. My mother is disabled and her friend elderly so Anne & Ray (the owners) gave them a large family room with disabled access wet room... More

I unfortunety stayed at this hotel at the end of February,first apperances it did not look bad , I had booked for nine nights in that time my bed was not changed once, the overflowing rubish bin in my room was not emptied for a week, no one went into my room for over a week so bathroom was not... More
