It was very great to stay here. The hotel is right in front of Asakusa Line exit A6 and a 4-min walk from JR Gotanda station. There are also plenty of buses that take you to Roppongi and Shibuya as well. Very clean and the AC heater was perfect for the room, the fridge and freezer space was enough for me. I also loved the size of my room (Residential Semi Double -Non-Smoking) - enough for me and two suitcases and the trouser heat press was perfect for me. Note that there is limited cleaning service that's not affiliated with the hotel so I think one or two people clean the rooms REALLY well and efficiently. I speak Japanese so I had no trouble communicating with the staff but they do speak a bit of English to communicate (no additional languages from what I heard). Note that check in is 3pm and check out is 11am so you can leave your luggage there and go explore if anything,

This hotel is a 2 minute walk from Gotanda Station. There are many popular eateries located within walking distance, including Torizoku, Ippudo ramen, and Jonathan's (attached to the hotel). There was also a full supermarket right next to the train station with a full delicatessen. Included in the room was a washer/drier machine (detergent provided), which is perfect for the light packer.

Stayed in Residential Double, non-smoking type with kitchenette and laundry/ dry machine for 2 weeks on business trip. Relatively a spacious room comparing to my stay in Tokyu Stay Aoyama Premium last time. At least I can put down a yoga mat in this room for my practice. View outside the window is pleasing somehow as it’s not too close to other tall buildings. Very close to JR and metro station. Easy access to convenient stores, supermarkets for food and necessities. Only few things to remind if you find it bothered (as I can bear them): 1. If you open the window at night, food smells from the restaurants will come in: I only open the window for a while when back to home then close it to avoid the smells. 2. Behind the hotel is night entertainment area: It is still safe relatively, and I don’t really go out at night, or walk into that district. It doesn’t bother me too much. Will still come back to this hotel whenever another long bus trip coming up.

We stayed here for 9 nights during our visit in Tokyo. It was an excellent stay. The Hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. The location is just across the street from Gotanda Station in JR Yamanote Line, meaning you can reach every corner in Tokyo easily. Gotanda Station is also 1 station next to Shinagawa station, where you can take Shinkansens (every Shinkansen will stop at Shinagawa station) and also trains to Narita/Haneda Airport which is more comfortable compare with Tokyo Station. You can find a convenience store (711) next door and many eateries less than 5 mins walk around the Hotel. A big supermarket and department store is located nearby within 5 mins walk and connected directly with Gotanda Station. The Hotel does not have any restaurant but it has a restaurant tenant which is open for 24 hours. We also had our breakfast here at the restaurant. The menu was limited though. And the breakfast menu did not change during our entire stay :) so same menu every day. The room was very good and it has a washing machine and small kitchenette and we found the washing machine is really helpful. They also provide free detergent as well. Really helpful. The only note that I have is that when I booked through Agoda, it did not inform us how much they charge for a child (10 yo), so I wrote to the Hotel about the extra charge. They replied and I agreed to pay. Later I found out that they charged me double compare with the rate at their website. When I checked in, I asked why they charged me double, they said because they upgrade me to next category of rooms (they did it without informing us they that they upgrade our room). So I think it is better to double check before you proceed with the booking. Also when I want to extend our stay, when I met the Front Office staff, he ensured that they would not charge me for extra charge. But when we checked out, the Hotel insist to charge me the extra charge (for our child). So again, please check and recheck. The staff were really nice and helpful even they could not speak English well, but they really tried. I would definitely recommend this Hotel.

Stayed here 5 years ago and it was spacious though dated. The prices have gone up with the newly renovated rooms. I booked a double room which was small but acceptable for Tokyo. With a little creative planning and navigation, it is doable for 2 persons in the room. Where there was not enough room to keep 2 suitcases open; One had to use the bed to excess the suitcase while the other used the luggage stand at the front door. But the suitcases had to be kept away under the table or by the corner. The main joy of the room is the super quiet washer/dryer machine. It is the reason why we did not need to bring huge luggage. We even use it to dry the towels for use in the morning. The front desk will provide free packs of detergent so you do not have to buy any. From the hotel, you are accessible to the main shopping districts via the single platform Gotanda station, which is just a minute away, and the entrance to the underground Metro just outside the hotel. We used the underground Metro to get to the JR station on a rainy day. In the vicinity, there is a supermarket, restaurants and 2 convenience stores (711 is just beside the hotel). Although there is an izakaya alley behind the hotel, it should not be a bother as long as you stay on the main road. Besides, it makes the area feels more lively at night. I will continue to stay at Tokyu Stay because they're the only hotels that provide in-room washer/dryer on a budget.

The location of this hotel is perfect as it is just next to JR Gotanda Station (Yamanote Line) and the Metro Gotanda Station. Shibuya could be reached in 7 minutes and Shinjuku in 15 minutes from the hotel! We reach the hotel from Narita Airport by Keisei Skyliner and change to JR Yamanote line at Nippori Station in around 1 hour. There is a washer & dryer available in your room! You can use it for free. Washing powder is also provided! Appreciate it so much. It could save up a lot of spaces in your luggage for shopping in Tokyo and bring less clothes. Also, there is a small kitchen with pot cooking utensils provided. Could just buy fresh food from nearby supermarket and cook in room. The breakfast is provided by the restaurant on 2/F with several combo sets (eg pancake, salmon rice, pork rice, etc) to choose. Not much choices but acceptable as we do not eat much in breakfast. Will consider this hotel when I return to Tokyo in future.

Room was very clean but way too small. Not having coffee in the room is just not acceptable. Coffee is available at reception but who wants to go there in their pyjamas when they wake up. Room had a washing machine but had to ask for English instructions. Still didn’t help much. They need to explain how to wash in cold water and how to dry your clothes on a low heat. Hotel was located close to supermarket & restaurants. Regards Ian & Mary Limbach

The first day I arrived early, a woman around her 50s attended me, but without a smile. She looked tired. She told me that check in time was at 3PM, so I couldn’t check in yet. They asked if I wanted to leave my luggage and so I did. Went to have lunch and buy some stuffs in Akachan (baby stuffs). When I came back two younger ladies attended me, they did wear a smile on their faces and talked to me really friendly, they told me my luggage was already in my room (awesome!). So I believe that the staff is nice in general, maybe the woman I met at noon had a bad morning, that’s all. The room is a normal Tokyo size room, one double bed, a small desk, small refrigerator, TV, and a washing machine (for clothes, not commonly found in rooms in Tokyo). The breakfast is the only thing I’d complain about. It is served at Jonathan’s on the 2nd floor. You can choose from 8 sets. I chose the salmon (worst decision ever). You can see on the photograph that the salmon was very dry, and it was chewy. It’s not a buffet, so don’t expect too much. They do have juice, coffee and miso soup for free.
