This hotel is a gem if you get one of the rooms on the 1st floor. The rooms are tasteful and spacious but most importantly have huge terraces overlooking the sea and the port of Krk. You've got a small dining table plus two deckchairs for sun bathing on the terrace. And still there's plenty of room to walk around. If you go in the summer you'll spend most of your time sitting on the terrace, enjoying the sun and watching the boats come in. In the evening, open a bottle of white and watch the tourists come into town to eat. Marina is the only hotel in the town itself and is the peaceful, classy alternative to the package holiday screaming-kids-by-pool style hotels just out of town. The whole hotel was refurbished a couple of years ago and got that trendy, boutiquey feel to it.

Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and service was relaxed, kind and attentive. Nice restaurant + bar on ground floor.

A whee bit (too) pricey but you get value for your money. more
