The place really is like a picture postcard - you'll want to take a camera to get a shot across the pond, the grazing horses to the house beyond. Pretty little village, charming pub (somewhat mediocre food but good beer), it really is Cambridgeshire countryside at its best.
The house itself is beautiful, a charming family home clearly lived in and loved for generations - wellies in the doorway, dogs, people coming and going from the farm.
The welcome was wonderfully warm, couldn't have been nicer. They made dinner for the four of us (they may or may not still offer this service) and it was fantastic, huge amont of food, freshly prepared and served in the dining room.
Rooms are large, pleasantly furnished, not brand new or slick or shiny but it's a b&b in a family home which is a working farmhouse. Expect the sort of thing you'd expect if going to visit family friends in the country and that's what you'll get in terms of comfort - perhaps a great bed...
