My husband and I stayed overnight for dinner ,bed and breakfast on Sunday 20 th November 2011. It was our first visit . The day was dark gloomy and miserable ,in total contrast to or stay at the Swan Hotel . Staff were very pleasant and helpful ,food -well YUMMY ! ! Even the coffee was very enjoyable . Our... More

A restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel. Excellent food and service in the restaurant. The room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. Our only small criticisms are that there was no lounge bar area to sit and drink before or after the meal and there was no fruit at breakfast. However we would still recommend it because of... More

We went on a living social deal for £95, although the menu was a little limited, the choice was ok, the food was excellent, the staff were chatty and friendly. The house red was a good quality as well. A few minor niggles with the room, that can be easily sorted, no mirror with the dressing table, or a mirror... More

The restaurant here is very good indeed. The food included in our £95 deal was absolutely excellent. We were concerned about being restricted to a set menu but the choice was good, the food cooked excellently and the portions were pretty good too. The staff at dinner were expertly trained and attentive, though perhaps could have been slightly less obtrusive... More

Thank you so much for your comments, though very disappointing to read on trip advisor You did leave me with opinion you were totally satisfied as I believed we did right the wrongs in your favour. It does however appear you were not totally satisfied with the outcome I am more than happy to discuss further your comments as you... More

On my first visit to Aughton and MPW restaurant on a business trip trying to impress, very disappointing experience despite a lovely looking menu. The beers were 'off' at the bar. The first two selections of white wine my guests chose were not available. When expressing disappointment about this and asking for some kind of consideration on a third more... More

Stayed here 2 nights a few weeks ago. Car park and arrival experience is not what you expect and needs a good tidy up. Check was ok, little confusing to find your room as the lift only goes up 1 floor. Nice large room although the tv is very small when the bed the the other side of the room.... More

On arrival I was impressed by the room. Very modern, clean and looks brand new with good quality furniture. The restaurant is Marco Pierre White branded and may be excellent if that's what you are looking for. I was after a sandwich/bar snack but there is nothing avaialble in that style. I had a good sleep in the room -... More

My husband and I stopped here for a spot of lunch on Saturday. The car park was surprisingly empty and if first impressions were anything to go by we were not in for a good lunch - The car park was very untidy and the outside area decidedly average. On entering we were greeted by a very snotty waiter who... More

We stayed for 2 nights as this hotel whilst attending a wedding at the Towers just up the road which is also owned by this company. The first room we had was 12a on the second floor, but the lifts only go to the first floor . The room was twin and a good size and nicely decorated. The only... More

Marco Pierre White - The Swan Inn Combining traditional pub fare with the very best in modern French and English cuisine, The Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friendNot up to scratch at all. Exciting & vibrant it isn't.Dined twice. Food was inconsistant some good some below par. Desserts are especially disapointing for somewhere advertising itself... More
