my wife and i stayed at the bellingham castle hotel 17/05/2008.as the name suggests it used to be a medieval castle. the room was spacious, spotless, well decorated and contained a double and single bed.the meal was first class (you can choose either bar or a la carte up to 10.00pm). staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help.the hotel grounds are spectacular with a river running through in which you can fish for salmon. also a weir. the hotel itself is situated about 60 miles from belfast and 40 from dublin in castlbellingham village. new motorway makes journey times about 1hr 20 mins from belfast and 45mins from dublin. would reccommend this hotel and will definately be visiting again. more
