Be sure to leave a trail of breadcrumbs along your route to Cools Farm. This working farm is accessed by one-lane roads winding through the hills. While not actually "close" this could be a good base for seeing Avebury, Salisbury, or Stonehenge. We searched for a farmhouse setting and thank goodness we hit on Cools Farm.It is a beautiful old building, faithfully restored and retaining charm and character.
