We expected to have a nice stay at the Albergo but were still pleasantly surprised by their attention to detail. First, the staff are very good - professional, friendly and thoughtful. They booked us in for wine tours and restaurants, and gave us good advice on where to eat/buy wine. They also called us in advance to confirm the reservation... More

We stayed for just the one night around 2 weeks ago en route to Tuscany and it was a unique and unforgettable experience. The location seems remote and you do need a car but if you want to switch off from modern life and truly relax then this is a place for you. We had a 2 bedroom ground floor... More

The Albergo Castiglone is a fantastic hotel, very small (only about 10 rooms) but with an excellent service and very clean, nicely decorated rooms. We got a free upgrade to a room with balcony for our 4-nights stay. The hotel is a bit far off the larger cities. In Castiglone Tinella there is only 1 restaurant (which is offering good... More

Very friendly welcome. Room had lovely balcony which was great for sitting out relaxing on. The best part about this hotel though was the amazing pool area - 5 mins walk from hotel. 2 days we had the whole pool to ourselves and th was so peaceful and the views were spectacular.

This is a lovely hotel with fabulous staff. We stayed 3 nights and explored the surrounding area hiking the trails through vineyards, quaint towns and eating at local restaurants. The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous and the accommodations clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was adequate with a reliance on pre-packaged foods, pastries and a limited selection. We... More

This gorgeous place feels like staying with a warm friend rather than a cold hotel. The rooms are beautifully appointed, bathrooms are perfectly modern and the breakfast spread is fantastical! The pool is a couple blocks away thru town and has sweeping views of the countryside, not to mention relaxing ambience. All the modern amenities with a posh country house... More

Albergo Catiglione was recommended by a friend and now rates, as my favorite hotel experience in all of Italy. I travel throughout Italy’s wine country regions, multiple times per year and the Albergo Castiglione is the best, wine country hotel I have found for holiday or business. It offers sophisticated, modern amenities and first class service while maintaining a charming,... More

We loved this place and would go back in a heart beat. It was incredibly well maintained and beautiful. We loved our breakfasts that always had something new for the day and lots of familiar and tasty items. We even loved the sound of the church bells in the morning. The hotel is a bit off the main roads that... More

Although it was a bit of drive to area restaurants and the Barollo wineries our group of six couples were visiting, we all thought this small hotel was an amazing find. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast spread was much more than we expected. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We stopped here for a couple of nights on a cycling holiday. This is a nicely decorated, clean, comfortable hotel with helpful staff and which serves a good continental breakfast. There are no gardens, but the room that we had with a balcony had lovely views. A short walk takes you to the hotel swimming pool on the edge of... More
