what an absolute Joke...... got a deal from the daily express and seeing the hotel sign for al a carte menu , thought we were onto a good thing! How wrong could we be. Dirty, out dated and in severe need of updating. Room's very basic and tea and coffee facilities ...... never did get any milk! No menu and... More

We booked this place, as it accepted dogs and we were looking for a dog friendly holiday. The website shows a nice looking place in lovely countryside. How wrong when we turned up. This place is a horror. We turned up and were told that we had to come back later as the owner was going out. So we returned... More

How to describe Ffynonwen...? Unpretentious, laid back, down to earth, cosy... My boyfriend and I visited for 3 days in the summer this year with our dog. We had an amazing weekend and would definitely return! Firstly, it's ideal if you have a dog - as a dog owner, you really need to feel comfortable and be with like-minded people.... More

Stayed here just for one night during August. The owners were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. The room was a little tired, but I found myself not minding - it kind of added to the rural charm of the place. Granted if you're not a fan of dogs, it isn't the place for you, but I love dogs so it wasn't... More

Two nicer people you will not meet! Very welcoming very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was execellent. Great to be at a dog frendly place. The weather was against us, but the hotel is set in a wonderful location, with it's own lakes and land to wander over ( avoiding the cows). The rooms were spacious as... More

The description states that this b&b is dog friendly - what it should say is it is a kennel that is people friendly. There are dogs everywhere and dirty dog blankets draped over the chairs in the "so called" conservatory. The dogs even wonder around in the bar area where people are eating in the evening. When we asked if... More

This was the third night stay during a tour of South West Wales. On arrival, although the booking had been noted we weren't expected. Had we arrived later, the owners wouldn't have been at home. We were offered the choice of two rooms with little difference between them. the beds weren't comfortable and the tea and coffee in the room... More
