We took a drive to the hotel as it was recommended to us as a place we must visit. The area that it’s situated is very affluent and the hotel fitted into the area well. The place has a period charm and warm atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. There is a choice of real ale which is well kept... More

We booked a family superior room for 1 night, superior meaning bigger bathroom with walk in showers and roll top bath, unfortunately we was not there long enough to take advantage of the bath. The room was clean and warm, the bathroom looked recently refurbished. The staff were young, courteous and willing to help. Breakfast was delicious, smoked salmon and... More

A lovely atmospheric Inn with roaring log fires, comfortable, warm, welcoming, even in our muddy walking gear with our pooch. Ate in the bar area due to our raincoats and boots (our choice) but returned later that evening once tidied up, and ate a truly beautiful meal in the dining room, served by helpful, friendly staff who were only too... We love this place. Came here first last summer cos it had four poster beds and have been coming back ever since. The inn is full of character and history, the bar is full of character's and everyone is very friendly. That includes the ghosts! Great food and wine list. The steak and stilton sauce is a must. Going back... More

We'd arranged a weekend away with 25 running friends and called the Churston Court at short notice two hours before arriving. In that time they'd set up tables for all of us, brilliant food and excellent service. The staff we all very friendly. This place needs to be visited as the whole building is so interesting and there's at least... More

I went here for dinner with my husband, a 2 year old and a 5 month old. The pub is not family friendly in any way - the high chairs supplied were filthy and had old food stuck to the seats; they seated us at a table that did not have room for the high chairs around it. There is... More

We stayed for a 3 night break at an excellent special rate, we took our dog who was made very welcome as were we. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was large and the bed very comfortable, the only down side was it was above the bar and could be a bit noisy. Breakfast was excellent. The... More

This was our 2nd stay here, the hotel and surroundings are beautiful, it is a step back in time and well worth a visit. Our room was lovely, clean and cosy. The candlelit restaurant is very romantic, the food and service excellent. There is such a lovely atmosphere to this hotel and my husband and I will definitely be returning.

We found several pluses to Churston Court and a few minuses too. Decoration of this 12c building is olde English and slightly quirky. The young staff are great - welcoming, friendly and helpful. We ate in both the restaurant and bar and in both the food was good ,well presented and delicious. Our room at the front of the building was... More
