Stayed for 3 nights in the cabin and it was just as good as the first time I stayed there. Perfect for a relaxing break away from it all. Stuart has great local knowledge and tips to guide you around the local area. The location itself is ideal and is a good location for visiting many local attractions - Ice... More

The group of 4 of us booked North Lodge once again and Stuart has managed to improve what was already a fantastic B&B. We booked both the double room and twin room in the house and cabin and as usual Stuart is the perfect host. When we arrived I'd already arranged the hot tub which Stuart had been feeding all... I received a warm welcome from Stuart & Joanne. The bed was super comfortable, and had a good sleep - better than at home! Breakfast was just what I wanted, and every consideration was given - even to take me to a party in the next village. What more can one ask.

We arrived for our overnight stay, tired and wet through after approximately 2000 miles of travelling around the country on a charity motorcycle ride to the four furthest corners of mainland britain. Stuart and his family immediately made us welcome and even carried our luggage in for us. The rooms were clean, spacious and with a spacious en-suite.They kindly offered... More

What a lovely surprise it was to find this wonderful B&B. Stuart was extremely welcoming. He met us out the front and helped us bring in our bags. Our room was beautiful. After arriving mid evening we were warmly welcomed by Stuart into a perfect ensuite family twin room. We had an excellent sleep and just the right amount of attention to be made to feel at home. Super breakfast with the freshest of eggs - double yolkers too. Thoroughly recommended for a stop in The Borders or visit to Newcastleton for... More

I could not fault the service and warm feeling given by Stuart and His wife. Their knowledge of the local area and amenities were second to none and the food was exceptional (a must for me ;)) top notch all the way.

We stayed in the log cabin for our wedding weekend in July 2012 and it was perfect from start to finish! Stuart and Joanne are perfect hosts - very friendly and added personal touches for your stay. The cabin is very nice, immaculately clean, amazing views with everything you need (fridge, kettle, ironing board etc). The hot tub is the... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights here in July 2012. The cabin is very cosy and separate from the main house. The view over the pond watching the cattle and sheep grazing on the other side is just the treat to watch while you relax and unwind. We made use of the hot tub despite the rain and it... More
