We arrived on a rainy afternoon but the drive up to the house took my breath away. Huge trees, lambs in the field and then this beautiful house before us. The inside is wonderful with wonderful reception rooms and everything on a grand and cosy scale. We ate in the back bar, good food and ambience. Our room was large and... More

We were a group of 17 adults visiting the Cotswolds. We selected the Dumbleton Hall. It's a beautiful manor, surrounded by green landscape and sheeps :-) Rooms are comfortable, welcoming and nice, helpful & smiling personnel. Breakfast is traditionnal, pretty much ok to prepare for long journeys. We did not try the restaurant. Would we recommend this hotel? Yes we... More

We stayed recently on a 2 night Travezoo offer. We paid £30 upgrade so we could be there on a Friday night. The hotel was perfect for us. It is set in magnificent grounds and there were a lot of walks that were very well signposted. We also got maps for 3 local walks that were provided by the hotel.The... More

We first visited Dumbleton Hall hotel 10 years ago when we got married and promised ourselves a visit again on our 10th anniversary this April for 2-nights. We booked well in advance and got a very good room rate and pre-booked a 3-course meal for £25 a head. On arrival we had to wait for some time before someone came... More

Dumbleton Hall Hotel is set in beautiful grounds, and has lovely walks. The hotel was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food is presented well and is well worth having. In all we had a great break with good food, good wine, beautiful scenery and friendly staff.

A beautiful building set in fantastic grounds. The inside is disappointing. A lot of the historical, period items gone. It lacks character. Our room was far too hot and the window didn't open. Room failed to deliver. Slamming doors in the middle of the night (soft closures would prevent this) woke you. Staff were well rehearsed in 'their scripts'. Most... More

We stayed weekend 13/14th April, expecting a lovely peaceful weekend unfortually there was a wedding party with 150 plus guests, the hotel can not accomodate large parties & guest at the same time, there are no local pubs to walk to. We just went back to our room and watched TV. Staff where friendly, rooms dated but is expected being... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights in April. The hotel is situated in lovely grounds with a lake which held a pair of black swans. This is a good time of year, where you can see the lambs close by, playing in the fields. Our room overlooked the back, looking across a hill of daffodils and a few... More

Dumbleton Hall is in a smashing location on the edge of the Cotswolds, so away from the tourist route it's set in its own beautiful grounds. Lively open fire to greet us. Staff were really friendly. Food great. All in all a great break to recharge the batteries!
