Firstly, we didn't stay at this hotel we had Sunday lunch there. There were 9 of us in our party aged from 11 to 85. From the moment we sat down at the table it was hard work. The waitress was surly, blunt and if we asked her anything we got muttered one word answers. The rest of the staff,... more

A hotel in a beautiful setting, you arrive to a long drive up to the hotel. The rooms have lovely views and there is a man made lake in the grounds with black swans. The food is to a high quality and the rooms are spacious and a high 3 star. The hotel mostly caters for weddings and you can see why.It... more

When we arrived Receptionist was very welcoming, gave us all necessary information. We did not plan to have a dinner but after her recommendation we decided to go ahead with the reservation - Menu was really nice - wide selection in good price. Food was lovely and wine list impressive! We spent very pleasant evening with our friends. Nothing was... more

We decided to stay at Dumbleton hall for a long romantic weekend. The hotel appears to make most of its money through weddings and we had two weddings happening Friday night and Saturday night. The hotel put us up in a room on the opposite site of the hotel, so we were not disturbed at all. The hotel is in... more

Stayed here for a wedding in August and you cannot possibly fault it as a wedding venue. Superb countryside, amazing views and ideal setting for the occasion. If you remove the rose tinted specs, the hotel is a little tired and could do with a refresh; rooms are a good size but tired, and the public areas are showing signs... more

We stayed here for two nights - it is as stunning and memorable as it looks in the pics. Drive in along single-track road along which hundreds of sheep are grazing around and talking to each other. Popular wedding venue (up to 100 guests) but our room (23) was the other end of the building and we heard nothing of... more

I stayed here one crisp autumn night, having booked it on a last minute booking site, and arrived as the sun was setting. The drive up is incredible, the Hall is magnificent , and looked wonderful lit up as the sun set. The Receptionist was welcoming, the entrance way magnificent, and the greeting my dog was given was fantastic :-)... more

Having already booked this hotel,I was worried when I stumbled onto the reviews. As several gave awful reports. However,on driving up the drive I was very impressed with the place. This hotel is a very old manor house and as such is maintained in accordance with its age.Yes,it does need a facelift but it is exactly what you want if you love historic... more

Stayed hear for a friends wedding. Its a great location if your into the countryside, cattle grided entrance with sheep roaming the grounds, paths into the surrounding woodland. The hotel itself is very grand from the outside but dont expect anything fantastic once you get inside. The rooms are not very spacious and are in keeping with the building so... more

My husband and I had a civil wedding at Dumbleton Hall on the 8th August 08 and I couldn't fault anything. The food from the wedding breakfast ,evening hog roast and breakfast the following day was brilliant. The wedding coordinators, reservation staff, bar staff, waiters/waitresses etc couldn't do enough to cater for everyones needs. Our photos are amazing thanks to... more
