We stayed in a lovely room with a 4 poster bed and it was simply marvellous. Clean and comfy with lots of character! We are a male gay couple and were treated I imagine the same way any couple would have been treated with the upmost respect and curtesy. Breakfast was a delicious feast of fruits and THE best muesli,... More

Wow, this beautiful B&B really does have bags of charm! 'Easy to find' we were warmly greeted and shown to the suite, full of antiques and the most comfortable bed we have slept in (next to our own) beautiful tea and coffee facilities in the room with fresh milk and water in a little fridge. Breakfast was excellent, the large... More

This is a great b&b in a secluded area. We stayed for one night on 21 st April in the four poster bedroom, there was a big open fire in the downstairs communal room when we arrived. Breakfast was seved for the three couples staying at the time around one large table, which gave it a really family atmosphere, breakfast... More

My partner and I stayed for one night at the Moat House. The house was beautifully decorated in a traditional way, with a lot of attention to detail. We were greeted with a roaring open fire which was very welcome on an extremely cold April evening. Robert and Diana gave us a warm welcome and the room had everything we... More

Comfort and attention to detail are the order of the day here. My hosts were attentive without being intrusive and the house is a treasure of traditional comfort I stayed in the Four Poster room which was so cosy I didn't want to leave, but then again, felt the same way about the stunning lounge with Inglenook fireplace and real... We stayed two nights celebrating our anniversary. The house is full of character and charm and the welcome from Robert and Diana warm. The roaring log fire in the guest lounge was great on a cold winters day. Room had everything we needed and appreciated filter coffee and biscuits. Breakfast was superb and the cottage easy to find and not... More

Our room was lovely, traditionally furnished and a wonderful bathroom suite! Open inglenook fireplace in the lounge was delightful and warmed the whole house. This was a perfect escape... More

My husband and I stayed at this delightful property on 13th December, it is such a gem of a property, the perfect escape from the maddening crowd. The room was traditional, the bath more than big enough for two. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choices served in a room seeped with atmosphere. Robert and Dianna were charming hosts, doing everything... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at the Olde Moat House. Friendly and welcoming owners. The house and gardens are picturesque. Breakfast was an interesting experience as all the guests (6) were sat at the same dinning table. It was something I had not experienced before but quite enjoyed as it encouraged conversation. Would highly recommend a visit.
