This is the second time we have stayed at The Old Moat House and once again we were greeted with the warm hospitality of Robert and Diana. A pot of tea and shortbread biscuits in front of a huge log fire when we arrived. A quiet night's sleep and a superb breakfast set us up for a chilly day in... More

We have just arrived home from the Olde Moat House today. Easy to find even on a dark night. Welcomed in by Robert and then shown through to the guest lounge that contained a huge open fire, it was so lovely and warm. We stayed in the room with the four poster bed, it was very comfortable to sleep in.... More

I stayed for one night on 25th October and loved the experience. Diana made a reservation for us at the Bell Inn when we arrived as the pub gets full quickly (the Bell serves good pub food and a lot of it). What I really enjoyed was the breakfast. It was so nice to sit with the other guests around... More

Having spent a couple of lovely nights here we wanted to say how enjoyable it was. We were given a warm welcome from Robert and Dianna. We stayed in the four poster bedroom, the room is a good size with a lovely big bed. Tea, coffee (real), kettle and shortbread were set out on a china tray with china cups... More

We were welcome by both hosts and shown to our lovely rooms. All the extras made a lovely difference (fridge, bathrobes, fresh milk to name a few). We returned from dinner and enjoyed a lovely evening playing cards in the guest lounge which has a fabulous inglenook fireplace and we intend to return in the winter to enjoy. Breakfast was... More

This place might be difficult to find at night without a google map or sat nav as the entrance is slightly obscured from the road. Even with a map, we passed it the first time. The house was full of character, and it was lovely and quiet. The room had very comfortable beds and a good sized en-suite. Nice touches,... More

The accommodation was very good and the beds were really comfortable. Robert and Diana were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were fabulous. Very relaxing weekend in an idyllic location. Easy to find, that's without sat nav. Very good value for money definitely would go back. More
