Stayed here for one night midweek. The place has been the scene of former glories and now seems to be settling gently into retirement. This was our second stay at this hotel. The hotel leisure facility is now closed but they have reduced the room rate because of this. We stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding. The rate we paid of £60 represented very good value for money. The hotel was very nice all round, the rooms were a little on the basic side, yet very comfortable, and the staff we encountered were all very friendly.

Had a nice relaxing stay, beautiful decor, room lovely and warm, bar staff very chatty and friendly, went into yarm centre for food and drink,lovely little town. taxi price reasonable, although taxi was a bit smelly.
