Stayed two nights ate in the bar one night reasonable food but expensive for bar food, beers poor if you are looking for real ales, breakfast is good and is help yourself buffet

Well appointed, reasonably priced hotel with friendly staff and excellent amenities, very close to NEC/LG Arena - 10 to 15 minute pleasant walk. Didn't use the restaurant, but the bar was comfortable and the staff helpful. Breakfast was good value, very tasty and, again, the staff were very efficient.

I've been to The Arden a few times now and really it's not as bad as some reviews say. As with so many hotels it's the quality of the rooms that gice overall impressions and perhaps what you pay for them. It's middle of the road, ok, nothing special. The only reason why this hotel survives is the NEC . Had to re-assemble the TV and repair the shower door. Dirty carpet , old furnishings , poor quality cosmetics . Absolutely nothing good to say apart from its a short drive to the NEC .

Was booked in at this hotel in error so had no expectations which was just as well. Receptionist was rather abrupt. The double room we were given was cramped and the bathroom was actually just a shower room, no toiletries, tiny, rather grubby and little in the way of water pressure. The breakfast was nice though.

Overall a great located and value for money hotel. Not quite contemporary but more of a "chesterfield" feel. I marked midway for cleanliness as the sheets and such like were clean but before we left we found empty contact lense cases that didn't belong to us on the windowsill so attention to detail is slightly lacking.
