If you dont mind being kept awake til 4am every morning by the thudding of the nightclub music from the club 250 meters away and then be further kept awake by the young uns partying til daybreak, then hotel pharos is your place. Clean basic rooms (ours had an amazing view althoguh not many did), great pool area and a good breakfast. Just ouitside Hvar, althoguh beach area was very limited the pool was good. the short walk into Hvar town was lovely and took around 5 minutes. Big draw back. No Air conditioning or a fan, very hot. Let's get this straight - this is NOT a good hotel. But with the average price on Hvar at over 240 USD per night, and this one with room types (double occupancy) from 40 to 160, it is a way to stay. we've just checked out of this hotel after seeing the room for approx 2 minutes. Whilst my other half was checking out I managed to get bitten 3 times in the room by some insect. Please do not stay at this hotel. Unless you already live on the streets and you want to rough it for a change. The worst hotel i've stayed in. CSI would never work out what stains where on the shower curtain. And yes we did complain, Guy at reception said he only works there what can he do. Second time... more

We stayed at pharos hotel for two weeks in June.We was very disapointed when we first arrived.Having expected 3star it is in fact only 2.The reception abit run down but the friendly staff made up for it.The rooms are vey basic and in need of refurbishment.Towels and bed was changed daily.Breakfast was buffet style with plenty to choose from.Lovely pool... more
