What a unique B&B in the countryside about a 20 minute drive from the city of Parma. This is also a working dairy farm that is part of a co-op Parmesan Reggiano cheese making business. Simona and Bruno run this B&B. Simona’s breakfasts were the best we had in Italy. All homemade food was served for breakfast, including eggs, yogurt,... more

Simona and Bruno are tremendous hosts in a beautiful location outside Parma. The room was excellent and the breakfast superb, 27 month old Parmesan cheese made across the street and all the other typical Italian salamis and cheeses for breakfast. There is an Agriturismo restaurant nearby that serves meats and cheeses from their own farm that was terrific. We did... more

We had a wonderful time with Bruno and Simoni....great hosts and a very relaxing place to stay. We enjoyed the breakfasts and Simoni gave great recommendations for places to eat dinner. All in all we would highly recommend the Cancabaia if you are in the Parma area. Did I mention the Parmesan Reggiano factory on the premises??? more

We stayed 3 nights here and had a great time. Bruno and Simona are lovely, hard working, kind and helpful people. We toured his Parmesan Cheese facility, did a Parma Ham Tour and a Balsamic Vinegar Tour. Simona is a beautiful person, helpful, sweet and she puts out a generous breakfast along with eggs cooked with parmesan. We had trouble... more

Сoncur with all written here before. If you travel by car don't even try to stay in Parma city. Don't omit an opportunuty to discover another Italy, to taste Emilia-Romagna region and to make friends. Simona and Bruno will help, guide, teach, support and provide you in everything one can wish visiting Parma for the fist time. Simona, Bruno, we... more

The owners of this B&B raise cows, which give the milk for the parmigiano they produce (we came away with about two kilos of it, and it impeccably good). The location is rural and quiet, and the building (once a garrison) has been carefully restored and renovated; the results are a comfotable mix of ancient and modern. The owners are... more

My husband and I returned 2 weeks ago from our very first trip to Italy. We were gone for 3 weeks and loved every minute of it but.....our time with Bruno and Simona was by far the best experience we had. We stayed at B & B Cancabaia for 5 nights and could easily have stayed longer. Bruno and Simona... more

This is our second trip to Italy and by far the best stay that we've had. If you love food and need a break from your hectic stay in the big cities then book here and experience real Italy. My wife and I stayed here with both sets of our parents and we all agreed that our time at their... more

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights, although we wish we would've had more time to spend here. The B&B is in a great location in the countryside, and only a 15 minute drive to get into central Parma. It was a great base to explore the castles, wineries, balsamic vinegar houses and the excellent restaurants of the... more

We just came back home after having stayed a full week at Simona and Bruno's B&B. On our trip back home we were already planning when to plan the next stay. Need I say more? From the moment of our arrival, Simona and Bruno have overwhelmed us with their warmth. We immediately felt ourselves at home (well, at friends' home,... more
