We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and whilst the reviews regarding the road are accurate, there is only 200 metres without a sidewalk and the drivers slow down for pedestrians, lots of the locals walk daily on this stretch, with no problems. hotel was immaculate inside rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. Lario Hotel has been completely refurbished. The bedrooms are cleaned daily - with plenty of thick towels in spacious bathrooms. We were driving around Lake Como with no specific hotel in mind, hoping that in March there would be no issue finding accommodation. What a delightful surprise to find the Lario Hotel!!! Yes, it is the best 3* hotel i 've ever been. It could easily beat most of the 4* hotels. One note: if you are flexible with dates be at Lake Commo late June. 23 and 24 are the days where the local saint is celebrated with a fantastic vestival. more
