One of the most unusual hotels we have ever visited. It was just at the start of the summer season, and you could understand why it wasn't up and running properly. The big plusses for this hotel are the oustanding location, the quality of the rooms and public areas and the general attitude of the staff, although it might be useful if any of them had a second language. The place was clean and room service was excellent.
The minuses were ones that some guests might find intolerable. Whan we arrived, the swimming pool resembled a sludge pit, with about 1/2 metre of muck and rubbish in the bottom, and very little effort was being made to drain it and fill with clean water. As for dinner, we were told that it started at 8.30pm............at 8.25pm the restaurant was still devoid of staff. Then suddenly waitress and another person arrive and started to take our order.
