We arrived at 4:30, on our stopover night, from the south of France. The long, peaceful drive swept up to the chateau, which was bathed in sunlight. The lake on our left and the magnificent parkland with towering trees, gave a sense of timelessness. As we were unsure where reception area was, Patrick appeared in his car next to us... more

We were really looking forward to staying here as it looked perfect for our children (and us!) on the website, really family friendly. However, the main problem we encountered was with the inflexible attitude for eating arrangements. We had booked dinner for the first night for all of us, but as our children weren't really settling being in a new... more

This small chateau is set in the most beautiful countryside off Limoges. We stayed in two rooms on the upper floor. It has been nicely restored to habitable conditions by a young Englishman named Patrick. More than a bed and breakfast, it is a little small gem hotel lived by a growing family. You will meet everyone when you check... more

WOW - We have recently returned from a five day break at Chateau Ribagnac and it was truely wonderful! I have two children aged four and two and they loved the Chateau. Each evening they ate with the families children and any other younger guests staying at around six/six thirty. The children were able to eat outside even though it... more

My husband and I and our two young boys stayed at Chateau Ribagnac for 3 nights at the tail end of our recent overseas adventure. As Australians living in the US we have travelled widely, and our stay at Chateau Ribagnac was one of the best holiday experiences our family has ever had. We hadn't seen the tv show and... more

Visited the Chateau for about the 7th time with my family. Wonderful rural French Chateau in beautiful grounds and surrounding countryside. Plenty of space for children to play and at least two swimming lakes nearby. Each room has it's own character and the standard of the evening meal is consistantly excellent. Great for a family holiday. more

We have recently returned from our sixth visit to Chateau Ribagnac! The Chateau is in a fabulous location, set in its own grounds which are quiet and peaceful yet within half an hours drive of Limoges airport. The surrounding countryside is wooded and undulating with lots of little market towns to explore. Patrick and Collette have both worked really hard... more

Chateau Ribagnac We have just (July 2008) had another excellent stay at Chateau Ribagnac thanks to Patrick and Colette Bergot, following our first stay in 2006. It is wonderful for us to come and to let the children run around in the extensive grounds of Chateau Ribagnac accompanied only by the sounds of the country. There is plenty to see... more

We originally saw this place on the Channel 4 documentary and thought we would like to go. We booked over the phone which we found to be friendly and efficient. We rode down from Calais on a motorbike (about a 7 hour journey) and when we arrived at the Chateau we were greeted in a friendly and informal way and... more
