I used Le Colibri as part of a tour of the battlefields of north-western France and Belgium. The hotel itself is situated in the middle of nowhere and next to a motorway on one side. But there is easy access to many WWI battlefields such as Vimy, the Somme and Ypres if with a car/coach etc, and within easy reach of Calais ferry port. The food in the restaurant was truely terrible, except the breakfast which was good. The bar was fine; well stocked drinkswise, however there were no crisps, nuts, or anything like that. The rooms were just average - the bathroom was quite good but the cupboard was incredibly small. Satellite TV is a good feature, and the conference room could be used for anything - it had a DVD player, which we were allowed to use. Overall, for a 1 or 2 night stay to see battlefields go for it, especially as you would barely be there
