While staying at the Haut-Koenigsbourg (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g1079317-d2278473-Reviews-Hotel_Haut_Koenigsbourg-Thannenkirch_Haut_Rhin_Alsace.html) we went to eat to La Meuniere, great kids menus and adult food too. Don't be fooled by the high french restaurant atmosphere, service is great and down to earth, but still good for an especial occasion. Great view from the terrace.

Very nice hotel with great views, big terrace and good food (nice wine list). Very friendly people, very good service. Almost exclusively English spoken guests this night, most of the staff are bilingual. We plan on returning to Alsace, perhaps this year, and will undoubtedly stay at the Auberge la Meuniere again. Our room was spacious and the view of the hills was very pleasant. First stop on driving tour through Alsace. Tiny village in the hills. Not much to do there but perfect place for excursions. Hotel seemed recently renovated/extended.
