We came across the hotel late in the day and starting to feel a bit desperate about where we would end up on our last night in France, before crossing into Switzerland.
The Au Puits Enchante is a fairly ordinary hotel in a fairly ordinary town south of Dijon. However the dining room was a real treat. It offered a great way to finish up the France leg of our trip - duck in aspic, lamb, guinea fowl, savoury mousse, reasonably priced wine and a great cheese plate. Dinner, B&B came in just under Euro100 (May 2008) - excellent value
If you manage to come across this place, don't be put off by the general look of the town, or even the Hotel itself - but make sure you dine "in-house".
