We booked online to stay at the formula 1 in bourges (le Subdray) and were not sure what to expect from a french budget hotel when we arrived. The check-in procedure ws very easy having booked online and our room was on the ground floor. All rooms are accessed by a code pad on the door, which seemed to work very well (although we were a little dubious about it). The room was very comfortable although basic, although to be honest anything woud have seemed comfortable after 18 hours of travelling!.
The rooms consist of a double bed with a single bunk-bed over the top, a sink, TV, desk and chair. The blackout blind was a nice touch and was very effective.
The toilets are very clean and have a self cleaning mechanism (like a portaloo)bt take 5 or so minutes to complete their cleaning cycle.
