The Clos De Mutigny is set in pleasant grounds in the quite village of La Chaussee-sur-Marne. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and spoke good English (just as well as my French is pretty poor. The restaurant is fine dining and quite expensive (€100 for 2 with an inexpensive bottle of wine) but our meal was very good. The... More

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel with our motorcycle group. Lisbeth and Johann the owners run this lovely small hotel with attention to detail. The welcome is very warm and genuine. The real stand out feature of this hotel is the fantastic food, it really is first class and they even catered for the fussy... More

Stayed on the way down south. Comfotable hotel in beautiful grounds. Good sized room overlooking stream. Restaurant reasonable . Relaxed service. Fairly typical French breakfast. Pet friendly and no charge. Easy to find on main road . Traffic noise not a problem.

As suggested by other reviewers we used this Hotel as a stopover whilst driving down to the Alps. Location is very pleasant and it's actually very convenient to get to off the Autoroute, although slightly less convenient heading further South the next day. Booked OK but there was a slight issue with the booking which was easily (and quickly) resolved... More

The hotel is in a large garden in a quiet rural village not far from the main road network. The room, overlooking a small river, was a good size, comfortable and clean.. We had an excellent dinner on the outside terrace with a glass of wine. All reasonably priced. The breakfast was also good. The staff were pleasant with some... More

This hotel is situated in a leafy garden but also not far from quite a busy road. You can hear the traffic from the hotel room at 6am. I think they were emptying the rubbish at that time too. The rooms are small and basic. The bathroom is very basic and the toilet is squashed between the wash stand and... More

Dear Guest, We are always very concerned regarding the satisfaction of our guests. We understand your disappointment, we only want to remember that french rare might be different than the way you usually eat the rack of lamb and we recooked it a second time and then you said it was overcooked, this is why we did not charge you... We stayed for one night to break our journey back from Italy. We arrived at Le Clos De Mutigny at about 7.30pm tired and hungry. Expectations were for a good comfortable hotel with a decent restaurant, these were very easily exceeded. The room was very comfortable with a great view of the pond at the rear. The restaurant was exceptional... More
