I stayed at the 'Chez Bach' on the way back to the UK from a skiing holiday in Switzerland - it's only a few kilometres off the motorway route. I booked it on the basis that it's a high-rated Logis de France and looked as if it was in a relatively quiet area, which it was.
First impression wasn't too great as it's a rather anonymous looking hotel surrounded by modern housing and near a small industrial estate, but it looked clean and the staff were very welcoming. The room was fine, nice and clean with a big bathroom - everything you'd expect from a two-star place. The village of Chaussin made for a pleasant wander round and there's a supermarket for those French goodies.
What really made it a special stay was the restaurant at the Chez Bach. I've had some good meals in France in my time, but this was spectacularly excellent.
