“Golf Break”

Very Strange place, I understand it was built as a juvenile correction centre. Setting great for a golfing break with good restaurants in villages not far away. Actually very good value. Rooms very comfortable but a little to far from the bar. Could not eat there on day of arrival as there was a wedding which was disappointing

Extraordinary place - an entire village, built in 1848, with a row of detached stone houses on each side of a tree lined avenue leading to what looks like barracks. First thing to note - this hotel is not in Loudun as showed on the GoogleMap, but further north between Roiffe and Fontevraud. It's not really possible to walk from here to anywhere, so you will be dependent on your car, unless you want to eat in the hotel restaurant every night (and then go to bed - the bar... More
