When we arrived at Dondet we opted to stay on the sun rise side and then switch to the sun set side. Paid 40,000 kip for a bungalow near the back (they do have mekong view rooms but they were all taken). The room was nice, clean and had a decent mosquito net. It had a great area outside with... Spent four nights here at 60,000k a night. There are Mekong view and non view bungalows. Rooms are not spectacularly clean and the bed although large had a poor mattress. We had to ask for towels and sheets as there weren't any and the blanket was only a single for our double bed. There's a good mosquito net and very... More

Stay here! Stay here! Stay here! A hammock, simple bungalow with an amazing view, the smile of Mr Vixay..what else do you need and what else can I say? Next door you can eat in Mr Vixay's restaurant, rent bicycles and arranges trips around the 4000 islands. There are shops nearby and they also offer laundry service. Beste place to... More

The bungalow we stayed in was right on the river an had a shared bathroom (squat toilet and cold shower). We paid 30000 Kip, but for 10000 more you can get one with and ensuite bathroom. However, these were not on the waterfront, so we opted for the 30000 room. We had our own porch with 2 comfy hammocks -... More

We stayed there for 4 nights, after changing from other hotel with ac and more expensive. Here you just have bungalows in front of the Mekong, your hamocs, the bar with nice chairs to lay on and the sunset just in front of you. What else d'you need? Vixay, the manager, is really nice and happy! He arranged our trip... More

I stayed here for a week on March 2012. Payed 50000 kip/night for bungalow with own bathroom. Price was same as my friends payed for bungalow with shared pathroom. Bed was ok, but pillows were like stone. Consider bringing your own! Didn't use mosquito net, since there was no mosquito. So I didn't even check if it was okei. Restaurant... More

The Vixay Guest House at the sunset side of Don Det has very nice and cheap bungalows. We payed 40000Kip per bungalow with bathroom. Though the bungalows are very tiny you have everything you need, a bed, a mosquito net and a bathroom with western style toilet. Every bungalow has his own little terrace with hammocks. And in the backyard... More
