The Green Hotel has beautiful views of the Kanga Valley! The place is simple but clean and the staff is accommodating. They have a nice broad menu with good food. I recommend it to the budget traveler. I will stay there again.

Actually we stayed for three weeks at the Green Hotel after a very nice, interesting but freezing cold 10 days silent retreat at Tushita Meditation Center in February/March 2011 - not 2012. Sheer happiness then to settle into the warm, spacious, clean room with heater and hot shower at the fun, friendly, relaxing Green Hotel! Beautiful and smiling Tibetan/Indian staff...

We stayed here for 2 nights after getting the overnight bus from Manali. We arrived at 4am in the morning and had to wait outside for it to open at 6.30am, no other hotels were open at this time so be aware if you get an overnight bus to Mcleod Gang!
Our room was on the street side so was...

The view to the mountains is amazing! It's not cheap compared to what you can find in the town, but the rooms are big, clean, with flatscreen tvs, hot water and balconies. Downstairs is a lovely restaurant (tibetan bread is a must try!) and internet.
The hotel rooms are not the best in town neither in quality nor in price but it has an awesome cafe with great food. Lovely place to relax and chill after a in busy day in the streets of Mcleod Ganj. The WiFi is a bonus.
Great hospitality, cheap, nice food, clean bedsheets, hot water.
We stayed at green hotel after there we finally pressed them everyday to give us a room. They were full and had a waiting list for rooms. It's a great budget place and the cafe and food and location are perfect. The rooms are fine for budget hotels, better than fine for Indian budget hotels. TV Internet cafe and walking...

We stayed 4 nights in busy busy Green Hotel. When didnt have a reservation so when we arrived there were just 2 rooms left. We decided we would have the cheaper one (700r), but it was such a dark, musty, and really depressing room facing the noisy street so we decided to check out the pricier one (1000r) and it...

The only reason to stay in this hotel is the very lively atmosphere, with plenty of foreign tourist coming in and out from the restaurant and cyber cafe.
About the rest, we have stayed in a small and clean room, but definitely expensive for what it was.
If you find the only available room in McLeod Ganj there, you should...

Before I write this review, let me preface this by saying I'm not one of those snooty travelers expecting American standards in India. I've traveled through India before and I know what to expect.
My newly renovated room looked nice but was actually one of the grosser rooms I've stayed in throughout India. The new toilet wasn't installed properly so...
