We just loved this place (couple and dog), the service is tops all round, the location is 10m from the cable car, the view from the balconies is lovely, the room and bathroom were huge, modern, and super comfortable. The spa was fantastic and we loved the bar upstairs. We had innovative tasty cocktails and huge and delicious appetizers in...

When we saw a new Design Hotel of the World had opened in Silvaplana, our favourite part of Switzerland, we couldn't resist booking.
Our concerns were put to rest immediately when our friendly concierge fetched us from St Moritz train station. We were checked into our very comfortable regular Corvatsch room 20 mins later, a largish standard room with stunning...

Although ideally situated and directly linked to the Corvatsch gondola, our experience was quite unhappy. Not really an alpine hotel, the feeling is more likely of an airport' one. Inadequate personnel, poor literacy in foreign languages and unfriendly handling of guests' wills. It's pitty.
The Location direct by the Gorvatsch Station is very convenient. The Junior Suites are nice and modern but not big. When you have problems to sleep, your should take some other rooms, you can hear the people walking around on the floor above the Suites. The Stars Restaurant is nice and modern, but completly overpriced. I was eating there once and...

We just spend a week at the new Nira Alpina with my 12 year old son. Location - exceptional , ski and and out and 2 minutes from Corvatsch gondola, 10 min from St Moritz using complimentary hotel shuttle or regular buses. Food and Beverage tasty , creative and reasonably priced. I must make special note that the accommodation, service,...

We go to the Engadin area often and have been wondering about this recently built hotel. So we finally booked for a week. If you like unspectacular, cool and modern design, this is for you. The hotel is clearly recently built and therefore everything (as of Feb 2012) is nice and shiny and working. We are staying in a garden...

I stayed in Nira Alpina for a night in December after attending work meetings in St. Moritz. I had an amazing time. The front desk manager, Carina, was the most helpful hotel staff I have ever worked with. I arrived and discovered my reservation was not in the system yet, despite having an electronic confirmation. She quickly arranged an alternative...

This is a new hotel, in an excellent location next to the Corvatsch lift station. Overall, highly recommended.
Good points are: the modern rooms with excellent views, its location, the quality of the breakfast (included in the price), the spa, the in house bakery and the traditional restaurant.
Less good points are the slow speed of check out, the unreliable...
