I stayed at the hotel Villa Maria in July of 2002 with my boyfriend (at the time) and his aunt and uncle. We stayed there just one night of our travels throughout Switzerland and were pampered beyond our expectations. The husband and wife who owned Villa Maria had sent their staff home for the day. The two of them cooked our dinner, most of which was home grown from their garden, and served us the meal. They made us a special dessert and sat with us after our meal to share drinks and stories. My boyfriend had been planning to propose on our trip. After the perfect evening they had created for us he decided it was the perfect time. We sat on a bench by the chipping and putting greens overlooking the valley. We can't wait to go back and visit them again some day. more
