The food was fabulous, well cooked and presented - one of the best rib-eyes I've had and the wine list... More

We were given an overnight stay at the Gamekeeper's Inn as a Christmas present, it was excellent, from arrival to departure, the Inn, the room, the service, the staff, the food, & the setting were all of a very high & warm welcoming standard. we were allowed use of the lesiure facilities as well, the swimming pool, sauna, steam room,... We stayed over the weekend of 17/18 December and enjoyed every minute; a warm welcome on arrival and shown straight to the rooms - absolutely gorgeous. Simply and beautifully appointed and brought a "Wow!" and "Awesome!" from our children (kids that aren't easily impressed, it has to be said!). Well stocked hospitality tray with lovely homemade shortbread biscuits in the... More

Stayed for one night in November and was suitably impressed. Compared to one of my other reviews (White Cross Bay in Windermere) the Gamekeepers and Long Ashes Park have hit the nail on the head. Great food and accommodations in a fantastic setting. Will be back soon. More

We loved this inn. It is like a boutique hotel but much more laid back. We went with our baby and they couldn't have been more accommodating, offering travel cots, high chairs etc and always being on hand to help. The bar and restaurant are lovely. We booked the room with a separate lounge, which was great for us, to... More
