Anyone out there doing the Roses Way should make their first stop the Gamekeeper's Inn. The twin bedroom was ideal for a good nights rest, the use of sauna etc on the aching muscles proved useful, the evening meal was extremely good, and the breakfast set us up for another 60 miles to York. I should also mention the good... More

I had not stayed here before, and chose it because it was the nearest place to stay on my planned visit to the area in May. On approaching the Inn through the mobile/holiday homes I was a little apprehensive of what my stay was going to be like. But once inside I was welcomed by friendly staff, my room was... More

We took some friends to the Gamekeepers at weekend and yet again if was perfect. We have a caravan up there (Steve Axon) and use the pub/restaurant often. The food is always perfect and the service 2nd to none. Look forward to returning very soon

Our recent visit was the first and last one. Staff were inattentive, and we were made to feel they were doing us a favour - one rude young lady who shall be nameles,s needs to go for hospitality training, We believe that the couple running this establishment are fairly new and perhaps inexperienced . . !

Stayed there 8th and 9th of May 2013. First night at the exceptional £80 inc dinner, bed and breakfast rate (Sun - Thurs for 2). The Inn is a great little place to eat and stay in the Dales. The pub serves great beers, the food in the restaurant is delicious and plentiful, and the rooms are cosy and comfortable.... More

We came across the Gamekeeper while stopping at the nearby Wood Nook camp site. The sign said muddy boots and soggy dogs welcome so we thought we would pop in for a beer, the beer was cheap and the food smelt good so we returned the following evening after a hard days walking, we had 3 courses and the food...
