We arrived at The Countyman's early Friday evening, to be met by a couple of locals and a very friendly and welcoming barmaid named H. After being shown to our rooms we retired to the bar for the best pint of Black Sheep I have had in a long time..
A couple of drinks later the real log fire was roaring, the locals had poured in and a very convivial crowd of locals had arrived, if not our very late dinner companions...
We had booked dinner in the locally acclaimed pub, however the chef and his wife (the sous chef) where on holiday; as such the kitchen was closed. Tony, the landlord, arrabged a meal for us in another pub in the next village along, which was very tasty (the meal, not the village).
Concious of the length of this waffleing, I will some up the following morning quickly -
Late for breakfast...
Lost car keys...
mislaid belongings..
Result? belongings found.. car key found.. and a very tasty breakfast!
