Wife and I have stayed several times in recent years. I booked a stay for four nights as we have always been comfortable in this little hotel. On booking, the proprietor said they had divided the hotel up into two holiday cottages and a bed and breakfast facility without evening meals.
The premises are now beautifully renovated, very clean, good breakfast, nice decor. Didn't look in the cottages but they appear nice.
It is a lovely quiet location, only noise is the sheep!
The proprietor lets you in and out in the evening; a key to the outer door would be better.
Meals are available in the village, the Inn on the Moor is especially good.
Shall probably stay again for a break sometime.
