Before staying at Rose Cottage all our holidays had been self-catering as our collie, Meg, is a bit highly strung. Consequently we were a little nervous about staying in a b+b but were encouraged by the positive reviews. When we arrived we were met by Emma and her friendly attitude towards Meg and ourselves very quickly settled our concerns. The... More

Stayed here for a long weekend with my wife and our chocolate lab Tia. We had a great time and could not be made more welcome. We had the large room at the back which gave fantastic views across the valley and was massive with a separate seating area. Nice to have sky in the rooms as well. Ideally located... More

Took my 2 owners plus Grannie with me for 2 nights at Rose Cottage. I loved every minute of it and the walks literally from the front door of Rose Cottage are great for a 1 year old active working cocker spaniel like me. Emma and Jaz (owners of Rose Cottage) could not have been nicer to me as they... More

just returned from another great weekend staying at Rose Cottage in Goathland. As ever, Emma and Jaz were perfect hosts and made our brief stay really enjoyable. (they even arranged for it to be a sunny day on the Saturday while we were there!) The location, the accommodation and the warm welcome are always first class and I can recommend... More

We booked a 3 night break at Rose Cottage in October and were a little nervous as this would be our first trip with our 7 month old Dandie Dinmont puppy. Having read the excellent reviews we hoped that we would find a comfortable, dog friendly cottage. When we arrived, all our expectations were exceeded. Emma greeted us, and we... More

We booked a 4 day break at Rose Cottage with Candy our Westie. Unfortunately the week before we were due to go Candy was diagnosed with a tumour on her pelvis. We decided to take her even though we knew she did not have much time left. When we arrived at Rose Cottage we were greeted by Emma, who showed... More

This was our first venture into dog friendly B+B, we were very apprehensive taking our nine month old Westie Monty, but Emma made our visit to Rose Cottage a real pleasurable and relaxing experience. We had a large comfortable room with en- suite facilities and the cottage was immaculate. Quality breakfast( too much to eat ) our dog had his... More

We visited Rose Cottage in September and it was fantastic. There was a warm welcome and a cosy room waiting for us. George our dog was delighted to get a special sausage for his breakfast- a very nice touch! We will visit again. More
