We stayed for a couple of nights and were more than happy with the experience. Warm and friendly environment and a hearty English breakfast. A short walk from ‘Aidensfield’ centre so you can just park up and not worry about driving. For a small village there is plenty to see and do. More

We have never felt qualified to review any Guest House before having never returned to any others for a second visit, but after returning from our tenth or so visit to the Fairhaven, I think we are qualified! Plus the fact we are now "regulars" speaks volumes. You will not be met by more genuine and friendly hosts than Kelly,... More

I've recently returned from a second stay at the Fairhaven. What an absolute pleasure it was too! The welcome you receive from Kelly, Liz, Keith & Richard is second to none. I have never met such friendly and caring hosts. From the beautiful cakes & coffee on arrival, the superbly comfortable bedroom, the delicious Winter Warmer supper on arrival night... More

I've stayed in hotels of all grades all over the world, but I can safely say that Keith, Liz and Kelly take customer service to heights you'll not experience anywhere else. Nothing is too much trouble and they are so proactive and go well beyond the call of duty in looking after you. The House facilities are surperb including the... More

From the moment we pulled into the driveway on arrival until our departure two days later we were pampered with attention - without going over the top. Keith helped us in with our luggage and then parked the car, while Liz and Kelly greeted and made us feel at home. With such a spacious guest lounge filled with books, and... More

We have just come back from spending a long weekend. On arrival we were met by Kelly who made us feel very welcome and offered to make us a drink. We were then shown to our room which was a lovelly size and well decorated. Everything was very clean. There were little touches like hand cream etc in the room.... More

A genuine home from home. From the minute we arrived we received 5 star treatment, from tea & coffee on arrival in the lounge, to Liz's delicious breakfast specials! The rooms are immaculate and absolutely spotless, and the beds guarantee a very restful night's sleep. Ideal central base for exploring the surrounding areas, including Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, Sandsend &... More
