About 20 minutes drive from Stansted, this pub/hotel is an ideal place to stay en-route to/from Stansted Airport. Easy to find on the main road through the village, there is free parking and a warm welcome from the staff. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, adequate for an overnight stop, and the staff were very helpful in organising adjacent rooms... more

Finding a hotel room for a family of 5 is difficult, so we were happy to find the Cock Inn in Sheering. The rooms are modern, fairly basic, but spotlessly clean and a good sized. They're also fairly quiet. A travel cot was provided. We had dinner in the pub and the food was excellent, and the service very friendly... more
