I wasn't too sure what to expect, it being a Best Western in the wilds of Scotland. Okay, not the wilds, on a small road between two of my museum destinations for my work. Great lcoation, not that far to travel to either Loch Ness on one side or the Western coastal towns on the other. The hotel had a... More

We were staying for a week up the road at Tulloch Holiday Cottages and the owners there recommended an evening or two at Glenspean Lodge. We cannot praise the meal and the welcome enough. Having stopped for dinner here about six years ago, under previous management, we were doubtful about our choice, but the evening was a great success. Thank... More

I was really pleased with our stay here. The hotel has a welcoming family-run feeling, with the staff helpful and attentive. Our room was very large and nicely decorated, with a brilliant, new bathroom. The sauna and jacuzzi were outside, and not quite what we expected, but we were the only ones using the facilites, and found them very relaxing... More

When we booked we were slightly concerned as the location of the Glenspean hotel is fairly remote. When we arrived, we were delighted as the location was beautiful and the hotel is so well run, the facilities made evenings in at the hotel a pleasure and an easy choice. The location is perfect for exploring that area of the Highlands... More

A place with a view, the building itself is great to drive up into, its great to look at and the mountain view is something you just admire. The place has charm, great decor, lovely plush chairs and a big twin room where we stayed in, just wished they had bigger windows. Had a bit of mishap with booking through... More

This hotel is a very high quality establishment, a good base for hill-walking. Comfortable accommodation, friendly service, good food, substantial portions. An ideal place to relax well away from the stresses and strains of work. This was my first visit here and definitely will not be my last ! More

After an overnight flight from the US and a rental car out of Glasgow, we drove a couple of hours then laid over here for a night before heading north to the Highlands. We arrived 3 hours before formal check-in, but Ian, the innkeeper, went out of his way to get our room ready quickly so we could get some... More

Booked last minute and I have to say was pleasantly surprised as it more than met my expectations. Location - Glenspean is a good 10 miles away from Fort William in a lovely setting with well tended gardens. Housekeeping - very clean rooms and well looked after with attention to detail. Food - had good selection for breakfast catering for... More
