Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Enjoyed a lovely 2day experience in a pod! Bed comfortable shower good no complaints at all. Tuan Praba and the dancing lady waitress were all extremely friendly and helpful. Plenty variety at breakfast. Will be returning some time in the future.

Stayed in one of the pods which was lovely and warm and clean with breath taking views down the loch and of snow capped hills. The hotel staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. Good food with plenty of options. Would definitely stay here again

Lovely understated hotel. We were here a few years ago and what a transformation. From being a typical Scottish hotel of the 70s now it’s a lovely modern hotel lovely . The food was fantastic Portion sizes very generous and the deserts were to die for. The staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you Nice bottle of wine to go with dinner not expensive at £22. Will definitely be back. Beautiful location with lovely views

We stayed in the beach huts,we did wonder if they would be warm enough in December but we’re so cosy. The hotel was quiet as pre Christmas but still offered tasteful breakfast, cooked well and tasted good. Staff were all friendly and keen to make guests feel welcome , with good service. Prasad and Kumara made sure we were welcomed and stay going well, friendly and attentive. This hotel is very clean, dated in some areas but l believe being refurbished. Best location with breathtaking views and plenty of outside space which we hope to enjoy again in the summer months. Would recommend and hope to return soon .

Although it appears the hotel has had some refurbishment in the public rooms my room and the corridors and staircase were rather scruffy with old furniture. The dining room was cold and the menu, though extensive, was extremely unfriendly for anyone requiring a gluten free meal. I was not impressed with mine and it was expensive for what was provided.

This was our third visit to the Onich hotel staying in a beach pod. The beach pod was warm, cosy, nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. There is tea & coffee facilities, a fridge, microwave and hob, not that we ever use these facilities as the food in the Onich hotel is delicious! This visit we brought family members with us who also loved it. The scenery is beautiful and a very relaxing place to be. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. They cannot do enough for you to ensure you have the most pleasant stay. The breakfast provided in the morning is also very good. It is safe to say we are looking forward to booking and coming back again soon. One night just isn’t enough. Thank you again for another great stay.
