just returned from a two night break, which recharged our batteries. The hotel is loveiy and clean and very comfortable. We had room 1 which was really nice. Nice power shower and very comfy bed. Nice little extras we didn't expect, shower gel and shampoo in the shower room, hairdryer and if you wanted an iron and ironing board an... more

Not for the first time we left Burpham House feeling refreshed from a short break in this friendly Country Hotel. The food was excellent, and again showed the flair of the owners in their choice of menue and locally scourced ingerdients. The House is situated on the East side the river Arun flood plain, and the village of Burpham has... more

We had a three night stay at the Burpham Country House, and thorougly enjoyed ourselves. It is set in an idylic location, where you wake up to birds singing and a lovely view across the hills. We stayed in room 3, which has a four-poster bed. The room was lovely and had a very nice shower room, which looked very... more

A lovely overnight stay to attend a wedding nearby. Friendly attentive service, even when we kept changing our minds! Beautiful and comfortable room in a gorgeous house and idyllic setting. And a truly great breakfast with top quality local produce. The bill was even less than we 'd been quoted due to a recent reduction in price. Top value for... more

A lovely , quaint country hotel. My husband booked a night away for our 30th wedding anniversary and although not far from home, it felt miles from anywhere. In a lovely village with a great view from the bedroom window. Bedroom was really nice and so was the 4 poster bed - very comfortable. Maybe we can come back for... more

We stayed for one night and had a lovely relaxing time. The house is a beautiful old parsonage, in a very quiet village which is off the beaten track but close to Arundel. Our room was small but had everything we needed. The breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. We didn't eat at the restaurant as we thought we'd... more

We enjoyed our stay at Burpham Country House, a lovely and quaint house. The bed was very comfortable – maybe too much so as I couldn’t wake my snoring husband from his restful slumber. The facilities in the room were more than adequate with tea / coffee making facilities, bottles of water, TV, dressing table, cupboard, etc and the towels... more

This is a delightfully situated small hotel well off the beaten track but within easy reach of Arundel and the coastal resorts of W. Sussex. It has a lovely garden with a croquet lawn. Our room, No 7 was large with well equipped bathroom. The bed linen was of the highest quality and towels the softest we have experienced in... more

A couple of points: Burpham Country House is classified as a country house/B&B, and not as a hotel. As such, we meet and exceed 4 star silver quality awards for this category, including all amenities. We price our rooms competitively in line with this classification for B&B accommodation in Arundel. The presence of our cat, Lucy, is heavily advertised on...

This was our last trip before impending parenthood so we wanted something luxurious, quiet and in a lovely setting - we got all of that and more - a delightful obese cat, wonderful food (locally sourced food unfussily and skillfully cooked, and a FANTASTIC cheeseboard) and Steve and Jackie's humour and warmth - surreal anecdotes and superb knowledge of the... more

My husband and I do not live far from this beautiful house and had wanted to stay here since my husband brought me last Valentine's Day for a meal. Our stay did not disappoint, a stunning house with a beautiful gardens, extremely elegant decor and a beautiful view over the south downs. Jackie and Steve were excellent hosts, being friendly... more
