We stayed for 4 nights in July to see in and around Arundel. The setting with Arundel castle across the meadows was the perfect backdrop. This is by far the best guest house I have EVER stayed at! Chris and Sandy are a fantastic couple and made us feel so welcome, relaxed and comfortable, it was hard to leave! The Thatched Barn is wonderful, a real oasis. Chris and Sandy are warmly welcoming and our room was gorgeous. Views, across meadows and the meandering Arun to Arundel Castle, are breathtaking and quintessentially English. Chris' breakfast special, the 'Wepham Wonder', is delicious too! Highly recommended if you are visiting Arundel or the surrounding South Downs. more

The accommodation is modern and holds what you want. Great location - quiet and relaxing. However you do pay for it! The studio we had offers smart TV, bottle opener, tea & coffee and plenty of room for clothes. Shower was also great and our studio offered the en-suite 'pod' as described which was trendy and added to the comfort.... more

Our hosts were very friendly, and would do antything for us, including storing our bikes, producing special dietary food for my wife, etc. The accomodation is very clean, very modern (e.g. with underfloor heating), and tastefully decorated, with many additional items such as photo-books, CD player, flat-screen T.V., etc.. There was no accommodation left by the time we got to Arundel (not surprising as it was an unusually sunny bank holiday for once) as all the tourists, just like us had fallen in love with the place and wanted somewhere to stay. My wife and I have just spent a weekend in and around Arundel based at the Thatched Barn - it's gorgeous and finished to a really high standard. Your hosts are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The local countryside is terrific and you are walking distance from a fantastic gastro-pub, George & Dragon. more
