We stayed at the Perch and Pike for 2 nights,a lovely old pub in a pretty quiet village.the landlord was charming and very friendly. The room was rustic and comfortable.Breakfast and dinner were great and freshly cooked, just a pity the plates weren't hot!

We stayed in the Perch and Pike as a group of ten using all the rooms between us which were very clean and comfortable with all the usual fresh towels and toiletries provided. Neil and his wife went over and above the call of duty by opening the restaurant for us on an evening when it should have been closed,... More

We reserved the room that is described as having "a jacuzzi bath that is only separated from the room by a glass wall - interesting?" Not really because next to the bath is the toilet which as there is not a proper wall (small glass partition really) means that basically the toilet is in the bedroom with practically no privacy... My wife and I have stayed in a few places in this area as we have relatives in Goring. We spent one night here and found it very comfortable. The room was The Tatty Trout which overlooks the car park at the rear. The bathroom was spotless, and the shower was a proper power shower, the two things that I... More

It's all down to expectations - and as we were spending quite a lot on what looked like a "boutique style" room with a good restaurant, we were bound to be disappointed. The room probably had been fine several years ago. It was tired with a broken shower, blind and two light fittings which were not working. An ugly T.V... More

A warm, friendly welcome in a cosy inn in a pretty village. The bedroom was perfectly comfortable. The breakfast was really good - the fruit salad was all fresh and the cooked was tasty and filling. Oh, and the coffee is pretty good which made a nice enough change from many places. The owners were helpful and genuine. So, overall,... More

Breakfast finishes at 0900 and we were there for a Sunday morning and there was no warning about that in the room (far too early, why not 1000) - however after some sideways looks cooked breakfast was produced. the bedding needs upgrading at this price, thin duvets and man made fibre pillows at £105 per night is not good. but... Made to feel very welcome in this beautiful village location. It was nice even in torrential rain. A little noise from the railway didn't detract from the overall experience. Food was great and all staff friendly and helpful when we were trying to sort out next stop on our route. Happy to recommend.

Stuck for something to do & see, we stopped off here for a quick drink & ended up staying for lunch. We couldn't find fault with anything. The service was quick, attentive & pleasant. There were several places to eat throughout & the restaurant itself is large, clean, bright & airy; it’s nicely sectioned for privacy & comfort. We were... More

Went for a meal to celebrate our son's 18th birthday. Got a warm and hearty welcome from the landlord. The pub area was lovely, clean and with a big open fireplace, with real fire blazing, particularly welcome on a freezing cold Thursday in December! The dining area was modern and well-laid out. The food was delicious. We all had something... More
