Brief stay so we could get to the NEC without a two hour drive in the morning. Agree with the majority that it is decidedly average with only continental breakfast available - cooked breakfast not offered. At £62 for a small room with shower only we thought a tad overpriced especially as the first choice Innkeepers Lodge at Coleshill was... More

The pub is quite nice and the staff were friendly, especially the man who checked us in. The room, room 9, was very small, we aren't large people and we didn't have much room to move around. The bathroom was like a cupboard, you had to shut the door to get into the shower cubicle, it had a shower curtain... More

Stayed here with a view to booking a number of rooms for wedding guests (the hotel is opposite the church where we were to marry) and the whole stay was a mistake. The room was quite expensive for a 'pub hotel'; which would not have mattered if the place had been well equipped and clean. Our room was really dirty... More

Great Hotel, rooms are all different based on Sheakespeare plays, great food good staff, and we met some amazing local people and spent all Sunday afternoon and evening with them, a trip to always remember.

We stayed here for a couple of nights during Feb 2013. The room was warm and large but in dire need of a make over. Tired furniture, wires to the bedside lamps were tucked behind the pillows! Windows needed cleaning and had old net curtains! Having said all that it only cost £50 for the two nights including breakfast and... More

We visited the site on 7th March for food. The place was very run down and tatty. I ordered a prawn cocktail. The prawns were lovely but the lettuce was old and brown. When we told the waitress about it she said she would tell the chef. There was no apology and no offer to compensate us for what should... More

We decided to take advantage of the special winter rates as offered by the Innkeepers hotel group and Vintage Inns, for a Five night break at "The Kings Head" for the total room cost of £130.00 including breakfast which proved to be of exceptional value for money. The room we had was large, comfortable and warm with an excellent shower... More

We stayed for one night. Nice simple rooms with comfy bed and everything you need. For the price it was all good. The pub area downstairs is good, with decent food and nice open log fires. I would use it again.

Having checked in we went to inspect our rooms and functional and clean is probably the best i can say.... More

Arrived at hotel, a strange smell when we walked in through the entrance?? Manager friendly enough, the other staff looked like they didn't really want to be there. The room was fairly clean and suited our needs for the 3 nights. I just thought the restaurant area could do with a good clean, especially the stairs going up to the... More
