My wife and I was very impressed with the decor when we walked in, the service went very well apart from it being very cold... then we sat down to to eat the food was over cooked and cold which spoiled the day, on our table often only one person said she enjoyed the food, she was in her late... I stayed here with my husband for a wedding. I was pleasantly suprised. I didn't have any idea of what the hotel would be like except I knew it sits in front of the oil refinery. However, once inside the hotel, that isn't an issue. It is very modern and airy. It gives a very good first impression. We were... More

I would just like to thank you for your frank reveiw highlighting some good and some not so good points. I am pleased you were allowed an early check in, I know this helps when attending a wedding and don't really want to travel in the clothes you intend to wear to the event, regrettably we live in an age... We recently held a family wedding at The Ashbourne. The Venue is outstanding and the staff excellent in every way from the moment we arrived at 12 noon until the last guest stumbled to bed around 2am. They handled special dietery requirements, unexpected guests and a cheeky best man requesting extra bacon for breakfast (and getting it) and Rob in... More

Our recent visit was equally as good as our previous stay. The breakfast on both mornings was plentiful and very good, the room was clean and having requested a room in a quiet part of the hotel we were pleased that this request was granted. We did not experience any problems with the staff prioritising wedding guests on the Saturday... More

Thank you for your kind reveiw, I am really pleased you enjoyed your second stay as much as your first, I sometimes think that when we enjoy a visit somewhere, when we return it isn't quite as we remembered it, it is very satisfying to know we could live up to the experience of your first visit. It is also... More

We came across this hotel whilst looking for wedding venues in the North Lincolnshire area. We had never heard of the hotel but the website looked fabulous so we decided to take a look. The local industry concerned us as the drive up the hotel isnt too attractive but dont let this put you off as you dont see it... More

Quiet and well situated fairly close to industrial sites at Killingholme and Immingham. Good accommodation and adequate restaurant, although maybe a little too much focus on "fancy" continental and Asian dishes, which do not always do justice. The Haddock is a good banker.
