I needed a single room (my wife has just died) in the Tetbury area just as a quick overnight stay. Plenty of parking space. Lots of fairly civilised locals in the bars when I arrived. Pleasant reception. A small single room but it was perfect for what I needed. Warm and snug. Good ensuite. I had an hour's walk in... More

We arrived at the Kings Arms Inn Didmarton late afternoon. It is a quaint pub in a lovely village and we were impressed by the overall cosy feel to the place. The smell of a real log fire is always very welcoming! We were shown to Room 1 which was well decorated with an ensuite which contained a shower and... More

Booked the Kings Arms after reading Tripadvisor reviews. A great location, set in a charming village. Real Ale and great food, both in the evening and the lovely breakfasts. A perfect palce to base yourself to see the surrounding Cotswolds. Well worth a stopover.

What an amazing pub / hotel! The hosts Steve and Sue Payne and their team are so welcoming, they couldn't do enough for our party! The food and the accomodation were of excellent standard, great place, great location would recommend it to anyone. We stayed in the Stable Cottage, it was stunning, very spacious ideal for girlie weekend getaway, it... More

We were met by a very sour-faced landlord. My friend had recently moved to the village and lived in very close proximity to the pub and introduced herself to the landlady who couldn't give a monkeys whether she was local or not! We didn't have phone reception and needed to make a phone call. There was just one local chap... More

I organised a group of 16 friends for a dinner. Excellent rooms and food, and very helpful staff. As the evening went on all the organisation on our part was forgotten but the manager dug out and sorted us all out with room allocation etc. Good breakfast in the morning, and overall a most enjoyable stay.

A really nice restaurant, great local ales, friendly staff and a cracking breakfast. A nice clean room, good linen and an ok bed. But their was no hot water or water pressure, when we and other guests raised it with the manager at breakfast, he wasn't a bit surprised and it seemed like we weren't the first people to raise... We stayed here for a wedding in the area. The room looked lovely and very clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was delicious, high quality ingredients used! The only issue, a fairly major one, was the bed which was vey uncomfortable and it seems as though many of the springs had gone in the mattress. We both woke up with... More

This was our 7th stay in this wonderful Cotswold pub/hotel, and the first under the new and experienced managers Steve & Sue Payne, who had been in post for less than a fortnight. The place buzzed. Full of laughter from locals and visitors, great food and beer.................just what was expected of the Cirencester and area PUB OF THE YEAR 2011.... More

My partner booked a room here at short notice as we needed to stay near to Bath. We also think it had just changed hands, but don't quote me on that, the landlady for a bit stressed but really helpful as were all the staff. We had a room in the main building and it was very pleasant, not massive,... More
