A return visit proved much more enjoyable than the previous visit. Food, wine and service were all very good. Service, particularly, was a huge improvement on last time. There was a wedding on at the time we were there but this did not affect the service.

Stayed overnight having attended a function there. Top marks for every memeber of staff I came into contact with. They could not have been more friendly, efficient and helpful. The function suite is beautifully appointed. It leads out into a new walled garden and work is discreetly in progress to expand this onto a second side. Our charity event was... More

The Villa Country Hotel is an excellent venue for a relaxed Sunday lunch. My favourite is the Gold Medal roast beef, and all the trimmings. As a coeliac I can't have their huge Yorkshire puddings but all their gravies and sauces are gluten free. The evening menu is just as enjoyable and the location and friendly staff are icing on... We paid £110 for a double room and attended a wedding at the same time. Overall, a strong 3/5, not sure it was quite good enough value for 4/5. In descending order: Country setting is lovely on a sunny day. Downstairs decore is very nice, with a largely authentic feel. Wedding marquee was very pretty inside. Service was generally good.... This hotel is local to me. I was at a wedding reception there and stayed overnight. It is in a very good rural location. I found it very expensive, £110.00 per night. However, my room was of a good standard of decor and cleanliness. The food served was of a high standard. I hear the restaurant here has a good... More

We have eaten here on several occasions and always find the staff very welcoming and efficient and the food to be seasonal, innovative and tasty. The surroundings both inside and out are lovely as well. We recently decided to try one of their regular wine tasting evenings, which was a set five course meal with a different wine with each... We stayed here for one night dinner bed and breakfast over the Bank Holiday weekend. From the moment we arrived to the time we checked out we were very happy with every aspect of our stay. The hotel is really lovely with lots of character and charm, particularly the restaurant which is beautiful and very intimate. Check in was swift... More

We stayed here as guests at a wedding. The location is very handy for the motorway, yet feels quite remote and accompanies a very nice village - not that there is much to do in the village. The venu has a nice feel to it and seems to cater well for these type of occaisions. The food was probably the... More

We really enjoyed a meal out at The Villa this evening. The service was excellent - especially Vlad (his first week) was very helpful. The food was good and the decor is very attractive. We would return.

We went to The Villa to celebrate my husband's birthday, it was a bit of a last minute thing so we weren't expecting much but we were so wrong. I can't recommend this place enough, everything about it was fabulous. The service was outstanding and the staff were so professional we really felt so looked after. We were going to... More
