This B&B is located about 2 miles outside of Rickmansworth in a lovely setting on the canal. It is very calm and quiet.
The rooms and beds are very comfortable and well thought out. We stayed in the Annexe which had a fully equipped kitchen if you wanted to do some cooking. It also has a nice shower (but no bath). Breakfast is served on the table in your room and the owner does a very good English breakfast.
You can borrow the owners bikes or canoes and they have a DVD library. The owner is sweet and helpful.
As we weren't driving, getting around in taxis added up, although we also got a fair bit of walking in along the canals.
Visit The Swan Inn in Denham for a lovely pub lunch about 2 hours walk along the canal.
