I was married at Hillbark in August 2009 and the whole day was truly magical. Hillbark is set in the grounds of the stunning Wirral countryside, it’s a beautiful Tudor building, contemporary decorated with beautiful furnishing as well as possessing a relaxing and homely atmosphere. Looking for a wedding venue in the North West of England that would cater for... more
Our fourth visit to the Hillbark, not because we love it so much, but because it's one of the better hotels in an area we need to visit regularly. Again, our overall feeling is that this is a very charming , period building with beautuful oak panelling in many of the public areas, but the bedrooms themselves are rather small... more
I've just returned from being a guest at a wedding at Hillbark Hotel. On arrival I was met by "Robert" a most charming man who checked me in, showed me to my room then happily carried two rather large suitcases up two flights of stairs. He and the rest of the staff at Hillbark were attentive and friendly throughout the... more
We decided to stay at Hillbark for a long weekend as my niece is due to hold her wedding party there this August, and we wanted to have a preview of what the service would be like. I decided to surprise my wife by booking an overnight stay whilst attending a party. A beautiful building set in picturesque grounds. The porter that greeted us was friendly and helpful but seemed very uncomfortable... more

We stayed in the most basic room that they have and it was fantastic..however i think we had a ghostly visitor twice in... more

We booked one night in this hotel. We were forced to pay £10 more when booking direct by telephone than online. The receptionist offered to send a brochure and sample menu. These did not arrive. A week later, another receptionist agreed to send details. These did not arrive. Spoke to owner who asked me to ring his mobile the next... more
My husband and I booked here as we were attending a family wedding at Hillbark. It is very expensive but we felt it offered great value for money. The wedding was perfect, I really cannot fault Hillbark on any aspect, I'm just glad I wasn't footing the bill! Our room was amazing! Very olde worlde feel but with all the... more
